Yessica Marin
Figure, light, and the first architecture of consciousness.
Oil paintings exploring childhood not only as innocence, but as the first territory where awareness, silence, tenderness, fear, and environment begin to shape inner life.
Current work centers on the child as a threshold: the moment before language fully names the world, when the body receives atmosphere, presence, and pressure from its surroundings. The paintings search for a luminous realism where structure, softness, and psychological stillness can coexist.

Artist
About
Yessica Marin is a Colombian-born artist based in the United States, working in oil painting under the visual signature Y. A. Marin. Her practice develops from years of realism, drawing, and close observation of skin, volume, and light.
Her current paintings explore childhood as an early territory of consciousness: a place where the surrounding world begins to form memory, gesture, attention, and emotional perception. Technically, her work searches for luminous structure, subtle atmosphere, controlled edges, and flesh that feels alive without becoming theatrical.
This website is an evolving archive of selected works, studies, available prints, and the first body of work dedicated to childhood, consciousness, and environment.
